Carol Winston brings to the Black Women’s Health Imperative, twenty-eight years of experience providing executive level administrative and management support in both the public and private sectors, including federal, state and local government, business and academia. As senior operations and engagement advisor, Ms. Winston uses her experience, strategic leadership and analytic skills to manage the daily operations of the Imperative, including managing the expenditures of the executive office; human resources and finance; providing guidance to the administrative and senior staff on contracts, agreements, established policies, procedures, and the Imperative’s strategic goals and objectives. Carol maintains the official records of grants, contracts, and personnel, including financial and donations to the organization.
Prior to joining the Imperative, Ms. Winston served Howard University for 28 years in several capacities including Deputy to the Senior Vice President for Research and Compliance, University Research Compliance Officer and Senior Compliance Administrator, Office of the Provost. While at Howard, Ms. Winston demonstrated success in project management, contract negotiations, human resources, fiscal management and facilitating cooperative agreements.
Ms. Winston is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is a Certified Compliance and Research Administrator.
